The German born coach, Josef Zinnbauer has apparently submitted his CV for a great job in Africa.
The German tactician requested the task of Zimbabwe after Zdravko Logarusic was killed recently, according to Bulawayo24.
Since the sacking of the Croatian Warriors, ZIFA has temporarily appointed Norman Mapeza, the former DStv Premiership Manager.
The ex-Chippa United is said to be the favorite to get the position permanently, although this may depend on how the squad performs in its next set of qualifiers in the FIFA World Cup.
Bryton Briton Malandule, member of the Board of ZIFA, acknowledged the absence of interested applicants in the latest interview.
“Yes, the interest in the Warriors position is phenomenal,” he remarked.
“But we inform the applicants that we have not announced the job yet and that when we open the opportunity they need to reapply for it.
Currently we have Norman Mapeza and every Zimbabwean needs him to help us.
“We will then explore possibilities at the end of its short-term contract.
We are looking at him as well (Mapeza), so, till we promote at the moment, we are not inviting applications.”
Zinnbauer quit as Pirates head coach earlier this year and said that after spending two years away from them he had to move home to his family.
