Shudu Musida graduates Columbia University

Former Miss South Africa Shudufhadzo Musida is celebrating a major academic milestone after revealing that she has completed her studies at Columbia University.

The beauty queen and mental health advocate shared photos of herself dressed in a graduation gown on Instagram, proudly marking the end of her journey at the prestigious Ivy League institution.

Shudu accompanied the post with an emotional caption reflecting on her achievement and the hard work behind it.

“It is finished 🥹🩵🧑🏾‍🎓 I am overcome with so many emotions. I am so grateful to have been able to do this.”

She also revealed that she graduated with a STEM-designated Master of Public Administration degree, concentrating in International Finance and Economic Policy.

“I am leaving @columbia with STEM Designated MPA concentrating in International Finance and Economic Policy. I’ve now conquered the edge and Ivy League.”

The former Miss SA ended her caption by teasing upcoming graduation celebrations, writing: “Graduation week loading…”

Fans, friends and fellow celebrities quickly flooded the comment section with congratulatory messages, praising Musida for balancing her public career with her academic ambitions.

Many social media users applauded her dedication to education and described her achievement as inspiring.

Since winning the Miss South Africa 2020 title, Musida has continued to use her platform to advocate for mental health awareness, education and youth empowerment.
