Former Miss South Africa Mia le Roux has penned a touching farewell message as she officially ends her reign.

Taking to Instagram, the beauty queen shared heartfelt words reflecting on her journey, expressing gratitude and hope as she steps into a new chapter of her life.

In her emotional post, Mia looked back on her final walk with pride and appreciation, writing that she carries “profound hope” for the future.

She thanked those who played an important role during her time as Miss South Africa, including designer Anel Botha, whom she described as more than just a creative partner.

Mia praised Anel for “stitching her story” into her final gown, calling her a storyteller who beautifully captures “the essence of the woman behind the dress.”

The highlight of her message was her tribute to the new Miss South Africa, Qhawekazi Mazaleni. Mia spoke fondly of her successor, describing her as a powerful, authentic, and purpose-driven leader whose advocacy and character will continue to strengthen the Miss South Africa legacy.

“My heart is bursting with pride and excitement for your year ahead,” she wrote.

As she signs off from her role as Miss SA 2024, Mia shared that she is “signing up” for her next chapter, a symbolic way of embracing new beginnings.

She also acknowledged her glam team, including makeup artist Rachel Ann Retief and hairstylist Duchess of Mane, for helping her look radiant for her final walk, with stunning visuals captured by Indirect Media.
