In June this year, singer/songwriter and former Malaika member Tshedi Mholo enrolled at Boston Colleague for a short music program.
A motivated Tshedi told her followers that “knowledge is power” and that “it’s never too late to go back to school.”
Fast-forward to October 27, 2022, Tshedi has graduated.
Announcing her achievement on social media, the singer wrote that “in the midst of her dilemmas. He will take the pain away.”
Reminding her doubters that God and the underground gang will always pull through for her.
In 2021, Tshedi announced that she was parting ways with Malaka effective immediately. She had been part of the group since 2003.
“It is with a heavy heart that I announce my departure from the band,” she wrote in a statement.
“Effective immediately, I would like to inform you that I will not be doing any public performance or whatsoever under the banner of Malaika.”
She said that being part of the band had taken a huge toll on her.
“Being in the band took a toll on me on so many levels and I have reached a stage where I cannot carry the burden any further.”
