Forgotten Orlando Pirates talent returning to action soon?

Orlando Pirates midfielder Selaelo Rasebotja could be nearing a return after missing eight months of competitive action due to injury.

Rasebotja provides update on Orlando Pirates return

24-year-old Selaelo Rasebotja was signed from the now-defunct SuperSport United. However, injuries and squad competition have limited him to just 11 appearances since his arrival in July 2024.

Speaking to the media at the launch of the 2026 Nedbank Cup, the talented schemer said he was edging closer to a return:

“Right now, I am at a stage where I am slowly being integrated into full training,” Rasebotja responded when asked about his recovery by KickOff.

“It’s also just part of my rehab. After being out of action for such a long time, to slowly getting back to full-team training.”

Is Tito Maswanganyi the odd one out at Pirates?

Patrick Maswanganyi has been unpredictable with his output at Pirates, sometimes sizzling but often disappointing. The undoubtedly gifted left-footer has featured nine times in the league out of a possible 12, chipping in with three goals and an assist. With a new signing in the building, his game time might diminish further.

Orlando Pirates rivals Sundowns strengthen

The Betway Premiership champions have made two big statements of intent this window. First, they made a move for R57 million Colombian striker Brayan Leon. Now, they’ve surprised everyone by swooping for controversial Orlando Pirates figure Monnapule Saleng. Reported target Puso Dithejane has, however, opted for a move to the MLS with Chicago Fire.
