New Johannesburg Mayor Dada Morero says finding solutions to power cuts is high on his agenda. He says part of the solution is to ensure that even when there are outages, Johannesburg residents don’t suffer.
This aligns with the ANC’s policy stance, supporting an integrated resources plan to call for a competitive and diversified energy mix.
Morero says this will reduce reliance on a single energy source and give them a chance to revive an earlier strategy, which the DA never had.
