France Football have started to reveal the final Ballon d’Or ranking, with Cristiano Ronaldo finishing in his lowest rank since 2005.
Ronaldo is the only player to have the Ballon d’Or 30-man shortlist every year since 2004 after record champions Lionel Messi didn’t make the shortlist this year.
Five-time winner Ronaldo, though, dropped massively in 2022 and only finds himself in 20th position.
France Football have named position 11 to 30 ahead of tonight’s gala ceremony in Paris, where Karim Benzema is expected to win his first-ever Golden Ball.
Two African stars are inside the top 20, with Sebastien Haller finishing in 13th position, while Riyad Mahrez made it into 12th spot.
Meanwhile, Sadio Mane is expected to be the first African to finish on the podium since George Weah won the award in 2005, beating his former Liverpool teammate to third place.
