Social media is in chaos after Royal AM’s Andile Mpisane took the captain’s armband and lifted the Macufe cup without kicking the ball. Andile is the Chairperson of Royal AM, and he is the one who calls all the shots throughout the club. This season he decided to name himself a player, and nobody could stop him from doing what he wanted. After all, he is the son of club owner Shauwn Mkhize.

When Royal AM met Kaizer Chiefs in the Macufe cup replay, the Amakhosi lost to Andile’s team. The teams played to a 1-1 draw before Royal AM won 4-2 on penalties. About five minutes before the penalty shoot, Andile took the captain’s armband, which did not sit well with many fans.
