Following Kaizer Chiefs’ 3-0 loss to Orlando Pirates last weekend, Amakhosi are in KwaZulu Natal to battle Richards Bay at the uMhlathuze Sports Complex at 19:30.

We’ve looked at the starting line co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef, and Cedric Kaze will select…

HOW WE EXPECT AMAKHOSI TO LINE UP AGAINST RICHARDS BAY

Kaizer Chiefs didn’t report any new injuries after Saturday’s action, while Zitha Kwinika is suspended after facing an accumulative fourth yellow card in the derby.

Aden McCarthy, who played at left-back against Orlando Pirates, is expected to shift back to central defender to replace Kwinika, allowing Bradley Cross to slot in at left-back.

Goalkeeper Brandon Petersen is expected to remain out for several weeks after last week’s emergency injury. Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, who had a performance to forget at FNB, is expected to be dropped for Siphesihle Ndlovu.

Expect Asanele Velebayi, who made a wonderful impact for Kaizer Chiefs in the derby, to start ahead of Pule Mmodi.

Predicted line-up: Goalkeeper: Bruce Bvuma, Right back: Dillan Solomons, Central defender: Inacio Miguel, Central defender: Aden McCarthy, Left back: Bradley Cross, Central midfielder: Lebohang Maboe, Central midfielder: Siphesihle Ndlovu, Attacking midfielder: Ethan Chislett, Left winger: Asanele Velebayi, Right winger: Glody Lilepo, Striker: Flavio Da Silva.

WHAT KAIZER CHIEFS CAN EXPECT FROM RICHARDS BAY

Coach Ronnie Gabriel’s Richards Bay FC sit in 12th place with 20 points from 18 matches. Their campaign has largely been shaped by stalemates, with the side recording four wins, eight draws and six defeats so far.

A solid defensive structure has helped them remain competitive, but scoring has proved a challenge, with just 14 league goals limiting their push toward the top half of the table.

The Natal Rich Boys have been strongest on home soil at King Zwelithini Stadium, where most of their points have been secured this season.

Gabadinho Mhango leads the attacking effort with four league goals, while the defence has generally provided stability despite a recent 3-0 setback against Chippa United.
