All four South African regional franchises competing in the United Rugby Championship are in action this weekend. They are all playing against overseas opposition with two teams playing locally and two overseas.

Perfect rugby weather awaits the Lions at Emirates Ellis Park tomorrow afternoon when they face Edinburgh, and fans can prepare themselves for the open, flowing rugby that the Lions have become famous for.

The Bulls are expected to fully exploit the altitude and home-ground advantage against Ulster. While the Sharks, who play the Dragons, and the Stormers, who play Zebre, have away games, they are still expected to win in grand style.

Lions v Edinburgh at Emirates Ellis Park at 1.45pm.

Bulls v Ulster at Loftus Versveld at 4pm.

Sharks v Dragons at Newport, Wales, at 6.15pm.

DHL Stormers v Zebre in Parma at 8.35pm.

All matches are on Saturday and broadcast live on DStv channels 201 and 211.

➤ With the Premier League still in the season’s early stages, the top of the table is still very close, with five teams capable of claiming the top spot this weekend.

The clash of the weekend is on Sunday when Manchester United travels to take on Aston Villa at 3pm.

All the games will be live on DStv channel 203.
