Former Orlando Pirates and Al Ahly analyst Yu-sha Said has been appointed as the new Performance Analyst at Moroka Swallows.
Said joins Komphela’s new-look backroom staff for the 2023/24 season and brings extensive experience after stints with Pirates and Ahly.
He was part of the technical team in Mosimane’s first season at the Red Devils, teaming up with Musi Matlaba but parted ways in the second season and was replaced by Kyle Solomons – who went on to work with Mosimane at Al Ahli Jeddah and Al Wahda in the Gulf.
Said confirmed his new role via social media accompanied by images of their pre-season friendly against Cape Town City last week in which the Citizens won 1-0 courtesy of a Khanyisa Mayo goal.
Said will undoubtedly bring a new dimension to the Dube Birds this season with a new wave of optimism surrounding the club, following Komphela’s appointment as head coach and the marquee signing of Andile Jali.
