eThekwini ramps up load shedding

No longer will eThekwini residents be shielded from Eskom’s rolling blackouts.

The metro had been exempted following deadly floods in April, but this relief has come to an end.

This comes after Eskom upgraded power cuts from Stage 2 to Stage 4 on Thursday.

Businesses in the city say blackouts will hit them in the pocket.

Residents have also shared their views, saying this is a setback for them.
