Unit two of Eskom’s Duvha Power Station in Mpumalanga, caught fire on Monday.
The fire has since been extinguished and no injuries have been reported.
It is unclear what the cause of the fire is but the power utility says it is investigating.
The power station has been offline since January due to a general overhaul.
