President Cyril Ramaphosa says the Eskom Board’s mandate is to end rolling blackouts. Ramaphosa says government will support the power utility’s new leadership with the right resources to alleviate power cuts.

“We are really pleased that the board we have announced is well received under the leadership of the new chairman. It’s a diverse mixture of experienced capabilities expertise.

“We have great deal of confidence in that board, they have responsibility to led Eskom forward. On our side as government we will engage with Eskom, our key focus is to ensure load shedding comes to an end,” says Ramaphosa.
