South Africa U-17 captain Benjamin Wallis featured for Fulham U18s on Thursday evening.

Wallis, 16, who stands at a towering 1.88m tall is currently contracted to SuperSport United and is being touted as one of the brightest prospects in South African football.

He starred at the recent U17 COSAFA Cup in Malawi where they qualified for the upcoming U17 Africa Cup of Nations set to take place in Algeria in April-May.

iDiski Times understands he jetted off to the United Kingdom last week where he trained with League One side Lincoln City, before heading over to the Premier League side and featuring for their U18s and got a 30-minute run out in defence.

While he’s impressed in his brief stay, there’s no immediate plans to leave Matsatsantsa, with the player needing to be 18 years old in order to complete a move, should they be keen on luring him to England.

His agency Forwardzone Football confirmed the recent visit but stated that he’s fully focused on the upcoming AFCON and looking towards a professional breakthrough in the Premier Soccer League at the moment.

Wallis, who can feature at centre-back or full-back is part of the 30-man provisional squad named by U17 head coach Duncan Crowie for the continental showpiece in North Africa.
