Emtee recalls the time he turned down a meeting with American rapper Future.
The South African rapper claimed that a number of years ago, at the Dome, the international star’s manager invited him to meet with Future.
Because it was taking place in Emtee’s city, he disregarded the invitation because he thought Future would come to see him rather than the other way around (SA).
“I remember the MTV awards that took place at the dome years ago. I was rolling up backstage before my set with wiz n Phori. A nigga came to me talking bout “futures manager calling you to take you to greet future”. I say Makeze yena azobilisa mina. This my city or ayeke,” Emtee wrote.
However, the Trap king’s revelation didn’t sit well with some of his followers, as a few persons dragged him for missing the opportunity to have a collaboration with an international star.
“That’s why both wiz and phory are above you Change that mentality or you’ll be in the same level for the rest of your life,” a tweep wrote.
“……maybe jus maybe that was your opportunity right there to be an international artist, stay humble stay hungry,” another said.
