EMPD officers caught on camera seriously beating up a civilian – WATCH

Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) officers were captured on video moering a civilian!

The video has gone viral, leaving Mzansi angry and demanding that these cops be punished.

It’s also alleged that it wasn’t the first time they did it. Someone indicated that his relative went through the same ordeal not so long ago.

The video was taken in Etwatwa, Ekurhuleni.

The man recording the video is heard yelling, begging the officers not to kill the person.

One of the officers then notices that he’s being recorded and lets the man go.

It’s unknown what the man is alleged to have done.

Barbie Maseko said she knows those officers.

She alleged they beat her cousin up and took her uncle’s car and demanded that he pays R1 500 to release it. She claimed they also took R500 from her cousin.

“This is getting out of hand,” said Barbie.

Dingaan Mokoena said he’s used to seeing this type of behaviour.

He said the cops think they’re above the law and it’s simply because most of them get away with treating people like this.

“I know for a fact, these ones will get away with this too,” said Dingaan.

Zandile Gumede said the problem is that police are armed but if they didn’t have guns with them, they would have been moered and this behaviour would have stopped.

“I’m tired of seeing officers bully civilians like this. It’s annoying,” said Zandile.

Lethu Mahlangu said he tried to help a while ago and he was moered.

The publication tried to get comment from the EMPD several times, but they hadn’t responded at the
time of publication.
