Dupped as one of the finest fast-rising star actresses in Mzansi Ama Qamata kissed her Mzansi Magic drama series on-screen character of Buhle Ndaba after being shot at point blank by Qhoqhoqho.

No doubt her exit scene was one of the most watched episodes of Gomora. Not so long ago, it was reported that she was bowing out of the drama series to focus on her demanding lead role in the Netflix series Blood And Water.

Well, in the mix of things, it seems as if Mzansi is mourning the bubbly character after epically exiting the drama series. Like those before her, she kissed her on-screen character in a typical way that has fast become a common trend in the Mzansi soapie series.

After months of missing, she was implicated in nasty rivalry wars when she finally returned to Gomora. What saddens the most is that she was a sacrificial lamp to the woes between MamSonto and Qhoqhoqho character played by Pakamisa Zwedala.

In recent months she has been topping the trends whether she was still part of the star-studded cast of Gomora or not. However, towards the end of Gomora Season 2, Ama Qamata, who played the role of Buhle Ndaba, disappeared from the screens after overhearing her uncle Phumlani ordering a hit.

Buhle tried to contact her mother, Thathi, to warn her about how dangerous Phumlani was; she was kidnapped and held MJay, her uncle’s hitman.

After two seasons on Gomora, reliable sources revealed that the young actress Ama Qamata left the cast to explore other opportunities. Though she bagged the leading role on the Netflix series Blood and Water, where she plays Puleng, Ama looks beyond the borders. A source revealed that she sets her eyes toward Hollywood. In the mix of things, Qamata is yet to confirm the reasons behind her exit. A close to the publication has it that:

“She recently begged an Adidas multi-million deal and has become a centre of attention from foreign movie directors looking to tap into the South African market. Ama received a lot of lucrative offers overseas, and she considered one of them.”
