Ella Mai is coming to South Africa

Award-winning British R&B star Ella Mai is set to serenade South African fans this April with two highly anticipated performances scheduled for Sun City and Cape Town.

The Boo’d Up hitmaker will first grace the stage at the Sun City Superbowl on Saturday, 25 April, as part of the Konka Kulture Weekend, a three-day music experience presented in partnership with Konka and Vertex Events, in association with Sun City.

She will then head to Cape Town for a second show at GrandWest on Sunday, 26 April, hosted by Vertex Events.

With a catalogue that includes global favourites like Boo’d Up and Trip, Ella Mai is expected to deliver a soulful set packed with crowd-pleasers.

Fans can also look forward to hearing material from her latest studio project, Do You Still Love Me, which features tracks such as Little Things and Tell Her.

Since breaking onto the international scene in 2014, Ella Mai has built a decorated career, earning major accolades and collaborating with music heavyweights including Babyface, Chris Brown, Usher, H.E.R., Nicki Minaj, Quavo and Ed Sheeran.

Sun City Convention Centre Manager Nombuso Buthelezi shared her enthusiasm about welcoming the global star.

“We believe that music has a unique power to unite people, creating moments of connection that transcend the ordinary. It is our intention that long after the final note, guests will leave with unforgettable memories and stories worth sharing for years to come,” she said.

Vertex Events’ Head of Events, Zizile Mtshali, echoed the excitement.

“We are so excited to host yet another elite R&B artist in our country. We look forward to creating once-in-a-lifetime live music experiences,” she said.

With only two shows confirmed, demand is expected to be high as fans prepare for what promises to be a soulful and unforgettable R&B weekend.
