Ekurhuleni municipality disconnects electricity for non payment services in Elandshaven
On Friday the 13th, the COE made rounds in Elandshaven EXT4 disconnecting electricity for non payment of municipal services as the #operationsiyacima campaign continues.
A company owing the municipality was not spared as they were disconnected for owing R4.4m to the City.
Yesterday the team was in Kempton Park where around 20 companies were disconnected for collectively being in arrears of over R10 million. Illegal connections found were also cut.
The COE is encouraging businesses and the residents to make arrangements to settle monies owed to the municipalities to avoid cut offs.
