Eight days before Niger’s military mutiny, MDNtv had material referring to “dissidence” within Niger’s armed forces, “chaos in the capital” and the presidency and airport areas.
Then came the 29 August mutiny.
MDNtv demanded answers from the source that supplied the material. No response was received by publication.
There is no evidence establishing a connection between Project Phoenix and the mutiny. But the similarities raise serious questions.
