Edition 91 – Soweto Derby Special

In this special Soweto Derby edition, Velile Mnyandu spoke to Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane, and players Brandon Petersen and Siyethemba Sithebe about the upcoming derby. Meanwhile, Velile also discussed the Derby with Orlando Pirates midfielder Thabang Monare, as well as chatting to Bucs’ media officer Thandi Merafe. We also look back at the derby from 10 years ago and what has happened to those involved in that game. One of those players was Lucky Lekgwathi, and Lethabo Kganyago discussed the upcoming Derby with the former Bucs captain. Another player who was involved in that game was Bernard Parker, and Robin-Duke Madlala spoke to the TS Galaxy veteran about life after Kaizer Chiefs.

Banyana Banyana just won in the Turkish Women’s Cup as preparation for the World Cup later this year, and Lethabo talked with award-winning sports journalist Busisiwe Mokoena and Sgwili Gumede, the Managing Director of Sport Boardroom about their preparations. One of those Banyana players is Kaylin Swart, who is also a staunch Kaizer Chiefs fan, and she tells Lethabo about her time as a ballgirl for Chiefs games in Gqeberha, and playing against Reeve Frosler.
