Ebrahim Seedat headlines TS Galaxy departures

TS Galaxy have parted ways with three players with an experienced defender Ebrahim Seedat topping the list of the departures ahead of the 2023/24 PSL season. 

The Rockets have bid farewell to defender Ebrahim Seedat. The ex-Cape Town City player spent two seasons at the Mpumalanga club. 

The 30-year-old footballer played 55 games for Galaxy across all competitions.

TS GALAXY OFFICIAL STATEMENT 

“We bid farewell to our beloved Ebrahim Seedat,” read the club’s statement. 

“We thank you for all the memories and the glory you brought to the club, and we pray for your success in this new chapter of your career.”

However, in the last campaign, the player made only one appearance for Sead Ramović’s side, as he spent most of the the season on the side.

As things stand, it’s remains unclear where the talented defender will be heading to as the new campaign looms large.

The departing defender, Seedat, also represented teams such as ASD Cape Town, KSC Lokeren, Bidvest Wits, Degerfors and Milano United.

OTHER PLAYERS WHO HAVE LEFT TS GALAXY

The club also parted company with Masilake Phohlongo and Tshegofatso Nyama. 

At the beginning of this week, the side also bid farewell to goalkeeper Melusi Buthelezi and Given Msimango. 

Buthelezi went on to join Soweto giants Orlando Pirates, whereas Msimango signed for Kaizer Chiefs. 

Galaxy finished 10th position in the DStv Premiership with 35 points from 30 outings last season.

Meanwhile, Galaxy will announce their new recruits once discussions and negotiations have been concluded. The club hopes that the players they will bring on board will impact on the field of play and optimistic that the they will add the much-needed value to the Rockets’ squad.

With the new term fast approaching, the side will be hoping to achieve its ultimate goal of securing the top eight finish in the DStv Premiership.
