Hip-hop artists Big Zulu and Duncan are at war.
‘I’m not your friend, Duncan. I was just playing around,’ Big Zulu said in a video after Duncan hit back at him over a diss track.
‘You show contempt. I think we need to fix this face-to-face like men,’ he said.
The beef started in 2022 when Big Zulu released a 150-bar diss track aimed at several hip-hop artists.
Last week, he went further by dropping a 200-bar diss, mentioning artists like Emtee, Cassper Nyovest and Kwesta.
Duncan quickly hit back with a very personal diss track, which seems to have caught Big Zulu off guard.
Big Zulu responded with a video showing he was upset by Duncan’s response. He claimed he was just playing around in his 200-bar diss and didn’t mean to get personal but felt Duncan’s response crossed a line.
Some fans are now calling Big Zulu a bully for repeatedly targeting other artists.
On TikTok, one user said: ‘Big Zulu must stop provoking other artists unnecessarily … imagine [insulting] Cassper, Duncan and Kwesta together; he must stay in his lane.’
It’s still unclear if the beef is genuine or just for publicity, but Big Zulu’s emotional response suggests he’s taking it seriously.
