DStv Prem Log After Chiefs’ Derby Win

Kaizer Chiefs have overtaken Orlando Pirates on the DStv Premiership log after securing bragging rights in the Soweto Derby.

Amakhosi secured a narrow 1-0 win in a tightly contested derby in front of 93,000 fans at FNB Stadium thanks to a Goal of the Season contender by Yusuf Maart.

The wonder goal took Chiefs to 21 points on the log, two ahead of their bitter rivals.

Chiefs will stay ahead of Pirates until 30 December, with the DStv Premiership now breaking due to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The Glamour Boys have moved into third spot on the log, but could still be overtaken by SuperSport United, who play Swallows FC tomorrow.

They sit four points behind Sundowns ahead of their evening clash against Royal AM, with Masandawana also having two games in hand.
