Lekau Sehoana, CEO of sneaker manufacturer Drip, and his family have allegedly been kicked out of their luxurious Waterfall home for not paying rent.

However, Lekau says it was because his wife breached the lease agreement.

According to Zimoja, Sehoana hasn’t paid the R35,000 monthly rent since November 2023.

Sehoana’s wife, Lebogang, who is in the process of divorcing him, said she is tired of Lekau’s lies.

“We are tired of the abuse, the lies, and tricks of Lekau,” she said. “Right now, his own son is homeless and out of school with no food and no clothes. He even has a court order to pay maintenance, but he hasn’t followed it for years.”

Lekau issued a statement saying media reports about the eviction were “factually incorrect”.

“First, I have not lived with my soon-to-be ex-wife since 2021 and I have no access to my son. I was renting the property for my soon-to-be ex-wife in order to provide a home for my son.”

He said that when police arrived at the property as part of their investigations into the murder of Drip’s former MD, Glenda Ndlanzi, “they found that she [Lebogang] had sublet the property to people I do not know and without my and/or the landlord’s consent – a total breach of the lease agreement.”

He said he has since cancelled the lease.
