There is once again drama ahead of ABC Motsepe League playoffs, with Western Cape-side Zizwe United alleging that opponents Young Bafana used a player of another club in their playoff tie.

Zizwe United Football Club have submitted a complaint to SAFA regarding a player that was used by Young Bafana Soccer during the second leg of the Western Cape ABC Motsepe League provincial final.

According to the source the player who hasn’t been named at this stage played on Thursday, 27 April for a team in the Local Football Association and two days later he played for Young Bafana on Saturday, 29 April.

Zizwe United won the first-leg by 1-0 in Nyanga but Young Bafana overturned their 1-0 deficit in the second leg, winning 1-0 at the YB Arena before the game was decided on penalties in their favour.

Young Bafana and SAFA Western Cape did not want to comment on case when contacted by iDiski Times.

The Western Cape are not the only province with issues around the ABC Motsepe League finals, and cases have delayed at least three other regions in deciding their winner.

Meanwhile, the following five ABC Motsepe League winners have been confirmed Dondol Stars (Gauteng), Amavarara (Easter Cape), Mlambo Royals (Mpumalanga), Upington City (Northern Cape) and Orbit College (North West).

The playoffs are scheduled to be played in KZN next month, with the exact date yet to be confirmed.
