Dr Musa Mthombeni accused of affair with another woman

Dr Musa Mthombeni has found himself trending for all the wrong reasons after unverified cheating allegations about his marriage to Liesl Laurie-Mthombeni began circulating on social media.

The speculation gained traction on Wednesday, 15 April, when users on X started questioning the couple’s reduced display of their usually affectionate posts.

What began as curiosity quickly spiralled into bold claims from controversial commentary accounts, including Chris Excel and Salties Unmasked.

One of the claims alleged that the doctor was involved with another woman, though no concrete evidence has been presented to support the accusation.

A supposed leaked message shared by an anonymous source further fueled the narrative, stating: “Apparently, Musa purchased bums from this high-end booker. It was during his trip to the Island of Phuket.”

While some entertained the rumours, others were quick to defend the couple, pointing out that they had recently been seen together and warning against jumping to conclusions based on gossip.

The renewed attention has also brought back old conversations about the couple’s public displays of affection.

In the past, Mthombeni was criticised by some for frequently posting about his wife, with critics suggesting the relationship appeared one-sided.

However, others pushed back, arguing that their marriage simply reflected a healthy and expressive partnership.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2021, have largely kept a united front despite periodic scrutiny.

Their relationship, often showcased through travel content and milestone celebrations, has drawn both admiration and criticism over the years.

Laurie-Mthombeni previously addressed intrusive questions about their personal life, particularly around starting a family.

“Leave my womb alone. Leave other women’s wombs alone. Whether I am or not (let’s be clear, I am not), I just feel like you guys want to be seen,” she said at the time.

As it stands, neither Mthombeni nor his wife has publicly responded to the latest allegations, leaving the claims firmly in the realm of online speculation rather than confirmed fact.
