Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies returned to domestic action in style, as they thumped Golden Ladies 7-1 in the Hollywoodbets Super League at Montshioa stadium in Mahikeng.
The defending champions were on continental duty in Durban last week, where they finished as runners-up in the COSAFA regions final after losing to Green Buffaloes on penalties.
Salome Kekana contributed a brace while Andisiwe Mgcoyi, Rhoda Mulaudzi, Miche Minnies, Chantelle Esau and Thembelihle Masibi were also on target as Sundowns moved to fourth position on the log with 33 points from 12 matches, while Golden Ladies were condemned to the bottom of the table with three points from 17 matches.
Elsewhere log leaders Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) were held to a 1-1 draw by Rookies City Lads at the Westbourne Oval in Gqeberha. TUT now have 38 points from 17 games ,while the Lads are third from bottom with nine points from 16 matches.
JVW Girls, who defeated MaIndies Ladies 3-1 in Johannesburg, are second on the log with 35 points in 15 outings, while the Limpopo side dropped to seventh place tied on 29 points with University of Johannesburg (UJ) just above them from 16 games.
