Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies will meet Zambia’s Green Buffaloes in the semi-final of the CAF Women’s Champions League COSAFA qualifiers after defeating Costa Do Sol 4-0 in a top of Group B clash at the Sugar Ray Xulu stadium on Monday afternoon.

The Mozambican side could have had an early lead through Marlene Jeneiro but she side netted in the 11th minute.

From then, it was Jerry Tshabalala’s side who took over as five minutes later Sundowns broke the deadlock through captain Zanele Nhlapo from the penalty spot after Rosa Mainque gave away the set-piece.

Miche Minnies scored in the 60th minute and Andisiwe Mgcoyi added a brace in the last 20 minutes to take Sundowns goal tally to 16 in the tournament, while having not conceded from three games.

Sundwons topped the group with nine points after both teams came into the match already qualified, having won their opening two matches.

Do Sol finished second in the group and will meet Botswana’s Double Action Ladies for a place in the final.

Only one team will represent the region at the continental finals in Ivory Coast in November, as Downs will meet Green Buffaloes, who beat them on the final last year.
