Downs & Gallants Announce Starting XIs

Mamelodi Sundowns and Marumo Gallants have announced their starting line-ups for this evening’s DStv Premiership at Loftus Versfeld stadium.

Mid-September is the last time Sundowns played a DStv Premiership encounter and that was when they defeated the KwaZulu Natal-based side AmaZulu FC by 1-0.

Since then the Tshwane-based side has been contesting in the CAF Champions League second preliminary, booked their place into the group stages of CAF Champions League after thrashing La Passe from Seychelles 15-1 on aggregate.

Gallants look rejuvenated after re-appointing Dan Malesela as new head coach following the departure of Roman Folz.

They won all three games with Malesela on the sidelines, two in the CAF Confederation Cup to reach the second preliminary round and their DStv Premiership match against TS Galaxy.

Last season, Downs beat Gallants 4-0 away from home, while the two sides’s drew at Loftus Versfeld, while Masandawana also beat Malesela and his side in the Nedbank Cup final in extra-time.
