Former Cape Town City left back Edmilson Dove has penned a farewell to the club, after he and City mutually parted ways at the end of last month.
The Mozambican international spent exactly five years at City, having joined back in 2017.
He has returned to his homeland and joined União Desportiva do Songo.
He played over 100 games for the club and was part of the team that lifted the MTN8 trophy in 2018.
However after missing out on the 2020/2021 season due to a surgery, he found himself playing second fiddle to Terrence Mashego on his return, and he and the club agreed to a mutual termination before the window closed last month.
“Thanks For Everything 🙏❤️,” Dove posted on his social media pages.
“To the President, Coaches and club staff, to my colleagues who for years treated me with affection and respect and allowing me to feel at home.
“Not forgetting the club fans for your continued support all these years together. I sure will miss you guys.
“I wish the club and my teammates success in this championship final straight and for the years to come.
