Dove Among 3 PSL Stars Named In Mozambique Squad To Face Senegal

Kaizer Chiefs defender Dove Edmilson, Elias Pelembe and Manuel Kambala have been named in the Mozambique squad set to face African champions Senegal.

The three Premier Soccer League-based players are alongside Al Ahly outcast Luis Miquissone and wonderkid Geny Catamo.

Stanley Ratifo, who had a trial at Amakhosi during the 2022 FIFA World Cup break also makes the squad again – which also features Amade Momade, who starred at the recent African Nations Championship in Algeria.

The Mambas travel to Senegal for their Group L clash next Friday in Dakar at the Stade Me Abdoulaye Wade before the return leg in Maputo four days later.

With four points on the board after two games, and the Lions of Teranga on six points, the double-header could prove crucial in their hopes of qualifying for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations set to take place in Senegal.
