Don Toliver to headline DStv Delicious Festival

The stage is set for a spectacular celebration of music, food and culture as the 12th edition of the DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival returns to the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit on September 20 and 21.

Powered by LottoStar, this year’s event promises to be a melting pot of global and local sounds, anchored by an explosive artist line-up.

International hip-hop heavyweight Don Toliver will take centre stage, marking a major moment for South African fans.

The rapper, who boasts over 30 million monthly listeners on Spotify and has worked with global superstars like Travis Scott, SZA, Justin Bieber and Doja Cat, is expected to bring a dynamic set to the festival’s main stage.

Joining him are some of South Africa’s biggest musical forces, lyrical giant Kwesta and the powerful Inkabi Zezwe duo, made up of Sjava and Big Zulu.

Their presence will fuse kasi culture with deep-rooted traditional influences, creating a distinctly South African flair to complement Toliver’s trap-heavy sound.

Festival media and marketing director Funeka Peppeta described the line-up as “a bold celebration of local and global talent,” saying it reflects the diverse and inclusive spirit of the event.

“This year brings global and local legends to one dance floor. It’s a powerful celebration of who we are and how we groove.”

The Channel O Dance Stage, a fan-favourite from previous editions, returns with even more fire.

The stage will serve as a cultural crossroads where amapiano, Afro-house, soulful house, hip-hop, Gqom, 3-step and Afro-tech collide in an electric fusion of rhythm and heritage.

It all kicks off with Rap Academy (Success SA, Jus Gigi, Modercai, Royal Musiq, and 031 Choppa), with support from Uncool MC and Masterpiece YVK.

As the tempo builds, Distruction Boyz will bring their signature percussive energy, while Kamo Mphela is expected to captivate the crowd with her high-energy choreography.

The dance stage will also feature a set by ASHOJU, a Glastonbury Festival regular who will blend Afrobeat and Naija flavour into the mix.

The evening closes on a high note with a deep, soulful session from Metro FM Award winner Oscar Mbo.
