Dolly Reveals Chiefs Target – iDiski Times

Kaizer Chiefs captain Keagan Dolly has revealed that they are aiming to end the club’s long trophy drought in the Nedbank Cup this season.

Amakhosi have only one trophy left to play for this season after failing to win the MTN8 at the beginning of the campaign, losing to AmaZulu FC in the semi-final on the away-goal rule.

The Ephefeni Glamour Boys’ hopes of winning the league were shuttered after Mamelodi Sundowns were confirmed as winners with seven games to spare, meaning the Nedbank Cup is the only domestic silverware left for grabs.

Dolly revealed that is the club’s target to beat Royal AM this weekend to advance to the semi-final to keep their chances of winning the trophy alive.

“This is the opportunity for us to play for something,” Dolly told Chiefs’ media team.

“This is a different game to a league game. We have to win no matter how we play. What is important for us is to get to the semi-finals.

“Royal AM are a good team but we did beat them the last time we played against them which gives us confidence for this game.

“We want to get into the semi-final and, ultimately, lift the cup for our supporters.”

Chiefs last reached Nedbank Cup final in 2019 when they lost to 1-0 TS Galaxy.
