DJ Tira Dragged Following His Tweets On Riky Rick
While Mzansi is still struggling to recover from the unexpected death of award-winning rapper Rikhado Muziwendlovu Makhado, also known as Riky Rick to many, tweeps are harassing DJ Tira.
Riky Ricky topped the Twitter trends list this morning after tweeting, “I’ll return a stronger man. This land is still my home.” Celebrities and close friends posted pics of him with broken heart emojis on social media.

Many people initially thought it was a marketing ploy to get people talking on the internet, but his family later confirmed that he was gone. DJ Tira took to Twitter to express his shock at the heartbreaking news in a series of Tweets. He wrote,
“No one cares about us! Asinakiwe! [we are ignored]”
“Kunzima but sifela ngaphakathi [we die inside]”
“Depression is real! It’s bad!”
“I pray for all the fathers fighting to be heroes for their families. Stay strong my brothers”

Following his tweets, social media users dragged him and accused him of making everything about himself. One Tweep chastised the trolls for dragging Tira and pleaded with them to be considerate and kind during this difficult time.
“Not Twitter bullying Tira again, tomorrow they’ll be saying RIP. Y’all never learn, the guy is crying out for help too, irrespective of what he did or said yesterday, be kind and try to be considerate. Just because someone has money does not mean they are ok,” he tweeted.

Riky Rick’s family has since confirmed his death in a statement.
“He was deeply loved by his family, friend, and the entire entertainment industry. His love for family, friends, and community is well known. Riky’s nurturing and developing of young musical talent is well documented and will forever be remembered.” They did not reveal the circumstances surrounding his untimely death and asked for privacy during this difficult time.

According to Sunday World, the rapper committed suicide at his estate home in Joburg’s northwestern suburbs. The publication says that a source revealed that the 34-year-old’s management discovered him still alive in his home around 8:00am today and rushed him to the hospital, but he died on the way.
