DJ Tira born-Mthokozi Khathi is best known for naturing some of Mzansi’s finest, including the likes of Big Nuz and Qwabe Twins. No doubt fortune favours the bold. DJ Tira has been winning big of late and securing the big from his illustrious career. In the wake of his thrust into the limelight, Tira has become one of Mzansi’s finest.

In recent years he has been dupped as the king of Durban. He was thrust into the world’s spotlight after being credited for being the face behind the Gqom genre, which surprised the world in 2017. However, in the mix of things, he introduced Mzansi to some of the South African finest, the likes of Babes Wodumo.

The celebrated DJ is hell-bent on taking the South African music industry to greater heights and has managed to serve justice to that. Apart from being a DJ, he also doubles as a producer and record label owner. Of interest is that his thrust into stardom came in the backdrop of his Smirnoff SA DJ Knockout competition in 2000. However, the rumour mill has it that he has since hiked them again. On the other hand, his gigs don’t come cheap. Unconfirmed reports say that to secure a gig with Tira, a promoter should folk around R30 000 local events, and his package and riders make his bill to around R190 000 including accommodation.

Well, his spanning career years have gifted him a lavish life on a silver platter. To cap his A-list celebrity lifestyle, he has blessed himself with the world’s finest things, from cars to houses. He has the plug and the bling too.

However, DJ Tira is topping the trends after he revealed that he would be venturing into agriculture. Despite being rich, it seems as if he is now trying to secure his fortune by adding agriculture into the equation. It looks like he has his sight on generational wealth and is not holding back. He joins many celebrated celebrities who have ventured into farming, including Phindile Gwala and Sizwe Ndlomo.
