DJ Speedsta says he is back to gatekeeping

The hip hop DJ and producer tweeted, “Personally, I’m back to gate keeping! It’s clearly needed. From now on it’s quality over quantity.”
The tweet quickly gained traction, pulling in over 100,000 views and sparking heated debate.
Personally, I’m back to gate keeping!
It’s clearly needed.
From now on it’s quality over quantity.

While some praised him for wanting to protect standards in the game, many others dragged him for being out of touch.
One user clapped back, “Bro, you fell off a while ago. This ‘gatekeeping’ act is just clout chasing dressed up as wisdom. Stop embarrassing the youth, guide them or get out the way.”
Another mocked, “Speedsta you don’t even have the keys to the gates! The music industry is wide open.”
This comes on the heels of his ongoing spat with rapper K.Keed, which has kept fans glued to their timelines.
The drama kicked off when Speedsta challenged her to freestyle during a radio appearance, only for her to decline.
The moment ignited fiery discussions about whether freestyling should still be considered a test of credibility in hip hop.
The feud didn’t end there as Speedsta recently took shots at K.Keed’s latest single, tweeting: “I’ve sent Keed a message on the side. The songs she’s dropping unfortunately aren’t strong enough to back her arrogance. Can’t hear a single word. Just take your L and get out of here!”
K.Keed wasted no time clapping back. She accused him of being “loud and wrong,” adding that he was just an “attention-seeking grown man” living with her in his head “rent free.”
She went as far as calling him a “weirdo” while insisting that her music speaks for itself.
Now, with Speedsta positioning himself as a self-proclaimed “gatekeeper,” the debate around their clash has widened.
Some fans believe he’s holding artists accountable, while others feel he’s simply clinging to relevance in a fast-changing industry.
