DJ Lamiez addresses drama about her lookalike

Media personality Lamiez Mischa Miriam Holworthy-Morule, who is popularly known as DJ Lamiez Holworthy, recently took a stand to address matters surrounding her lookalike.

This is after the lady swore at every person who likened her to, or called her ‘Lamiez’ on social media platforms. Lamiez’s look-alike is known as @ruralzulugirl_stylist on TikTok, and shares the same hairstyle and tattoo arm sleeve with Lamiez.

Taking to her Facebook page, the DJ shared that she tried to ignore the matter for years since 2020, because she thought it was innocent.

“It creeped me out a bit, but overall I found it flattering. I think it’s just getting out of hand, because this lady has now resorted to swearing (at) people who innocently mention her looking like me and every response has my name along with a vulgar slur in it,” penned Lamiez.

Lamiez further revealed that she already cut her hair into her signature hairstyle with a full tattoo sleeve when she bagged her first big TV show in 2019, which was very uncommon for black women.

“This lady had Moonchild Sanelly braids with no tattoos in 2020. It started with my outfits and overall style, and slowly turned into this. She would even tag me. This is the most important part, I honestly have no issue, but to literally imitate and try to mimic me and deny it is scarier. Overall, it’s humbling to know that my influence has reached this level,” said Lamiez.

“I love it for black women – I love seeing more bold and daring women. Especially those older than me. It’s humbling and it’s reassuring that we’re taking up more space. Let it however be spaces that are positive and uplifting, where other women can celebrate and fix each other’s crowns without trying to eradicate or compete with each other. There’s enough room for us all to shine,” she concluded.
