DJ and music producer Bongani Dlamini-Ngcobo, popularly known as DJ Bongz, debunked claims that he had not paid salaries to his staff at Views Night Club.

This is after online reports suggested that multiple workers accused him of failing to pay their salaries.

Recently, the Ofana Nawe hitmaker took to his Instagram page to share his side of the story. The statement issued by Views Night Club read: “Views Night Club management would like to address the allegations circulating regarding unpaid staff salaries, theft and the operational status of the business.

“Firstly, it is important to clarify that the business has recently experienced internal challenges related to misconduct by certain members of the management team. Over the past two months, management uncovered repeated incidents of stock and cash theft involving specific individuals. These activities severely affected the financial stability of the business. Criminal cases have since been opened against the alleged individuals and the matter is currently receiving the necessary attention from the relevant authorities.”

The statement further said that the staff payment was delayed due to financial losses caused by theft, and it is not true that they were not paid deliberately.

“Secondly, while it is true that the business experienced temporary salary delays, it is incorrect to suggest that staff were deliberately not paid or that Views Night Club neglected its obligations. Due to the financial losses caused by the theft, the business was placed under extreme financial strain. During this period, the owners made personal financial contributions to ensure that staff continued to receive payments where possible. Regarding claims that a manager stole a work phone as compensation for unpaid salary, this matter forms part of the broader misconduct currently under investigation. Theft of company property is unlawful and cannot be justified under any circumstances and regardless of internal disputes.

“Lastly, Views Night Club is fully operational. While the business has undergone a restructuring phase following these challenges, new staff has since been employed and measures have been implemented to strengthen internal controls and ensure operational stability. Any claims that the establishment is on the verge of closure are unfounded,” read the statement.
