Deputy President David Mabuza says the dignity of traditional leaders must be restored.

He was speaking in his capacity as chairperson of the inter-ministerial task team geared towards addressing the challenges faced by traditional authorities.

Mabuza has crisscrossed the country on his tour to assess and address the challenges faced by traditional and Khoisan leaders.

He says government will continue supporting their cause.

The gathering comes just weeks before the ANC’s elective conference in December.

Traditional leaders say they’re concerned about the current state of affairs in the country.
