Black Coffee’s girlfriend, Victoria Gonzalez, has claimed that she did not know who he was when they met eight years ago.
The Venezuelan model also “confessed” to crossing paths with Africa’s richest DJ – real name Nkosinathi Maphumulo – when he was still married to his wife, Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa.
Her comments, made during a speech at his 50th birthday, have come under fire over the timeline and age gap in their relationship

Speaking at Black Coffee’s star-studded 50th birthday party, his girlfriend Victoria Gonzalez spoke publicly for the first time about the start of their relationship.
Despite being labelled a “gold-digger” by some South Africans, the 29-year-old model said: “ I first met Nathi, back in 2019, no, 2018, actually, at a dinner table with friends.
“I had absolutely no idea who he was. And honestly, I’m very happy about that. Because I didn’t see the fame, and I didn’t see the legend. I simply saw a man. A man who made me laugh. A man with confidence and incredible style”.
Victoria, who is a lingerie model from Venezuela, added: “Looking back, I realise that that was a gift. I got to meet Nathi before I met Black Coffee.”
The bombshell brunette claimed that she never looked for money, success, or fame in a relationship, but “someone who loves me, exactly the way I am”.
She added: “When two people are meant to find each other, something extraordinary happens”.
Victoria’s comments have trended on social media, with many voicing their disbelief.

Victoria Gonzalez’s comments come a year after she bragged about finding true love and happiness, accompanying a “soft life”.
On her Instagram account, she posted a collage of pictures featuring a meme asking, “How to be happy?”. The answer was, “Go on a six-month holiday, twice a year.”
A few months later, a clip of Victoria joking about driving Black Coffee’s supercars also set tongues wagging.
Victoria often posts pictures and videos of herself accompanying her famous partner to some of the biggest gigs and parties around the world.

In 2018, at the time their paths first crossed, Black Coffee was 42 years old. His now girlfriend was just 21 years old.
At the time, the DJ was one of the highest-paid on the African continent, boasting international music residencies and multiple business investments.
Victoria had won the Venezuelan local pageant, Miss Sucre. Before meeting Black Coffee, she competed in the national Miss Venezuela pageant and placed in the Top 10.
