While Ebony residents protest over dry tapes, Johannesburg water continues to demand them to pay their water bills.
This is despite not having consistent water supply since January. Frustrated community members have taken to the streets, blocking major routes into Ivory Park with stones and burning tyres.

In response to the protests and public unrest, the Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) has urged motorists to avoid the Westbury area.
JMPD spokesperson Xolani Fihla confirmed that several roads, including Feul, Harmony, Perth, Main Road, and Portland Avenue, have been closed.
