Davids Sends Message To PSL Amid Relegation Dog Fight

Maritzburg United coach Fadlu Davids believes all matches should be televised Live, especially those involving teams fighting relegation.

Davids said this as he was disgruntled by match officials during his side’s 1-0 defeat to Sekhukhune United in Polokwane where he got six yellow cards and finished the game with 10 men after Bradley Cross was sent off.

The result saw Fadlu’s side drop to the bottom of the log tied on 24 points with Marumo Gallants in 15th place and two points from safety with only five league matches left to play.

Davids says there needs to be a clear eye on the matches adding that his charges will continue to fight until the end even against external factors.

“We really plead that matches like this are televised especially in the relegation fight. A lot of things are happening here and we have to have a clear eye on these types of games,” he said.

“That is the first step to keep an eye on all these relegation fight games and the next point is that we need to play hard in the league. Besides that we will be back we will be fighting we will be pushing in our next game.

“We will fight against all odds, against external factors we will go and we will push our heads up. We will fight and come our home game against Richards Bay we will roll up our sleeves and fight.

“In the second half, it was much better we changed the structure slightly. We got in the game we were a little bit more on the front foot and then of course the red card.

“We conceded the goal at the moment when we had the red card just trying to put the sub on the pitch but it takes so long to make the sub. Then we conceded the goal before we could even put our substitute on.”
