The Premier Soccer League (PSL) have announced the upcoming Soweto Derby in the Nedbank Cup semi-final will be hosted at FNB Stadium.
It was questioned whether the match would be hosted at FNB Stadium or taken to another province, but the PSL now confirmed Chiefs’ traditional home ground as venue.
The Soweto Derby between Chiefs and Pirates will take place on Saturday, 6 May, while the second semi-final between Stellenbosch FC and Sekhukhune United will take place at Danie Craven Stadium a day later.
“The two semi-final matches will be played on the weekend of 06 and 07 May 2023,” the PSL said via statement.
“Tickets will be available at Ticketpro outlets countrywide from 14h30 today.
“The highly anticipated Nedbank Cup Soweto Derby semi-final between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will be played at FNB stadium on Saturday, 06 May 2023. The match is scheduled to kick-off at 15h00.
“Danie Craven Stadium in Stellenbosch will host the second semi-final clash between Stellenbosch FC and Sekhukhune United on Sunday, 07 May 2023. Kick-off is at 18h00.”
Tickets for the Soweto Derby cost R100, while tickets for the game in Stellenbosch will cost R60.
