A School search targeting two priority schools in Tembisa, Masiqhakaze Secondary School and Masisebenze High School, was conducted on Wednesday, 07 September 2022.
Stakeholders included Tembisa South SAPS, Department of Education, Department of Community Safety, EMPD, Gauteng Traffic Police, Youth Crime Prevention Desk and Community Patrollers.
“The purpose of the search is to instil discipline within the problematic schools and to remind learners that a school is a place where they empower themselves for better success shortly,” said Tembisa South SAPS Spokesperson, Constable Bridget Mavuso.
Dagga, Cigarettes and dangerous weapons were found on the search.
Teachers applauded all the efforts put in by role players and urged that another search be done soon.
