COVID: 2 111 new cases & 3 deaths recorded

Three people have died due to coronavirus-related complications in the past 24 to 48 hours.
Over 2,100 new COVID-19 cases were recorded.
This takes the number of active cases in South Africa to 34,023.
Gauteng reported most of the cases with more than 770 infections followed by Western Cape with 510 cases.
More than 25,000 tests were conducted with the test positivity rate now at 8.4 percent.

Mzansi award-winning South African rapper and hip-hop artist Rikhado Muziwendlovu Makhado, popularly known as Riky Rick, passed away on the morning of Wednesday 23 February.
The family of rapper Riky Rick confirmed that he passed on following the rumours circulating on Twitter. A source told a local publication that the 34-year-old rapper was found by his management team at about 08:30. Learn More
