Suspended Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane has lost her court bid to overturn her suspension.
The Western Cape High Court dismissed her bid to appeal the court’s refusal to enforce the invalidation of her suspension.
In September, the court ruled that her suspension was invalid but could not return to office pending confirmation by the Constitutional Court.
The Democratic Alliance and President Cyril Ramaphosa appealed the high court decision, which stalled Mkhwebane’s return to office.
She’ll also have to foot the legal costs incurred.
