Six DStv Premiership teams have already secured their top eight finish in 2021/22, qualifying for next season’s MTN8 Cup.
Defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns had long already secured their place in the MTN8 Cup of the 2022/23 campaign.
They were followed by Cape Town City, Royal AM and Kaizer Chiefs, who are the teams currently sitting in the top four spot.
In addition, fifth-placed Stellenbosch FC and sixth-placed AmaZulu will also feature in the 2022/23 MTN8 Cup.
The final two spots will be decided between Orlando Pirates, who look all but safe, as well as Supersport United and Golden Arrows – two of those three will be in the MTN8 Cup next season.
Meanwhile, at the bottom of the table Chippa United secured their place in the DStv Premiership next campaign, as they cannot be overtaken by Baroka and Swallows anymore.
