Polokwane City have made their first signing ahead of their return to the DStv Premiership, signing talented junior international Oswin Appollis.
Appollis spent last season resurrecting his promising career at Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit, Pretoria Callies, and was their standout player, scoring six goals and having as many assists.
The former Ajax Cape Town and SuperSport United midfielder has represented South Africa at all junior levels, and was most recently a member of David Notoane’s U23 squad that just missed out on qualification for the U23 AFCON.
When reached for comment, Appollis’ representative Lance Davids confirmed that he had penned a three-year contract with an option to extend.
“Yes, he’s joining Polokwane, it’s a done deal,” Davids told iDiski Times.
Appollis will join up with Duncan Lechesa’s team in pre-season after they gained promotion to the DStv Premiership on the final day of the 2022/23 Motsepe Foundation Championship campaign, overtaking both Cape Town Spurs and Casric Stars.
